Now That Email and Cell Phones Are The Top Office Communication Methods, Are You Ready To Support A Mobile‑First Workforce?
In our increasingly mobile world, mobile communication tools have become the preference for most in the workforce. In a recent survey, Zinwave asked more than 1,000 U.S. workers how frequently they used specific methods of communication in the office, and the answers offered some surprising insights into the ways employees are communicating with both in and out of the office.
What We Learned:
- Most prefer to use their cell phones to make calls in the office and typically prefer this method when contacting clients, partners, or vendors
- More than half of the respondents admitted to texting with those same contacts on a daily basis, a number comparable to desk phone usage
- 61% of Gen X responders said they are using their cell phones in the office more now than in the last year
