Paddy Murphy

Vice President of Operations

Paddy joined Zinwave in August 2010 and brings over 25 years experience in leadership manufacturing operations and supply chain roles gained within Hi-tech Electronics manufacturing, both in-house and outsourced.

He spent the past 18 months working as a consultant within the Service division of a major Bank Teller Automation OEM. Previously he spent 8 years as the Senior Director, Manufacturing Operations for Airspan Networks (Nasdaq: AIRN) a broadband wireless access company pioneering the development of WiMAX technology.

Prior to that Paddy spent 2 years setting up the European operation, through the start-up of 2 plants in Scotland, for Universal Scientific Industrial Co. (USI), a $1b turnover Taiwanese ODM/EMS provider.

From 1988 to 1998 he served in a variety of senior management roles covering Operations, Materials & Procurement, Logistics, and HR working for Digital Equipment (DEC), a global provider of Computer Solutions, in Ireland, Scotland, and the US.

Before joining DEC he served as Plant Director for Merrimack Magnetics, a US transformer supplier to the Computer industry and as Procurement Director for Strongbow Engineering, a precision sheet metal fabricator.

An Industrial Engineering graduate from Waterford Technical College (WTC), Ireland, he also holds a Diploma in Purchasing & Materials Management from WTC and an MBA from the University West of Scotland (formerly Paisley University)
