SEP makes venture capital investments in entrepreneurial and innovative companies.
As well as backing start up and early stage businesses, we also invest in more established companies looking to use venture capital to build scale and momentum. All of the ventures we back have the potential to drive change and succeed in the global marketplace.
We typically invest between £1 million and £10 million in funding rounds of up to £30 million. We either invest on our own or alongside other venture capital firms, usually as lead investor.
We take minority stakes in the companies we invest in but look to exert a positive influence over their growth and development, working in partnership with the entrepreneurs we back and sharing their drive and commitment.
Our venture capital team is one of the most experienced in Europe, with plenty of operational and commercial experience beyond investing. This underpins our position as a venture capital investor of choice for leading entrepreneurs .
We have been behind many of Europe’s most successful venture capital deals, having backed companies such as CSR, Wolfson and MTEM.
