Dr. David Parker

Dr. David Parker co-founded Zinwave in 2002 and served as President until 2005. He remains on the board as a non-executive director.

He is current President and Chief Executive Officer for SPI Lasers plc and is the former president and chief executive officer of Marconi Optical Components ("MOC"). Under his leadership, MOC was sold to Bookham Technology in February 2002.

Prior to this, Dr Parker was vice president general manager of Agilent Technologies Ipswich Components Operation and a corporate Vice President of Agilent Technologies Inc. During his tenure, this business unit became the market leader in the supply of high performance networking components.

In previous roles, Dr Parker has gained experience in manufacturing, R&D and business development, and was formerly a member of the supervisory board of Xignal Technologies AG.

He was elected a Fellow of the Institute of Physics in 1997. Dr Parker has a Ph.D from Imperial College, University of London and a BSc from the University of Leeds.
